whatup everyone? i actually dont drive a bimmer, i drive a 2005 mustang, but i have a HID question, and i know you all are the experts! so i installed the saleen HIDs on my car, and i wanted to know if its bad for the ballasts/bulbs if i use them for flash to pass. to me it seems it would be bad for them to just click them on and off, without them warming up, but what do the experts think?
seems like you wouldnt want to flash them, but idk for sure. do you have them in your high beams? very nice car... always wanted a stang but insurance is redic, and i wasnt buying the shitty V6. Came close to buying a 97 black 5-speed about a year ago until I saw what a GT would do to my rates!
no they are the HID headlights from the saleen s281. i bought them direct from saleen, it was a complete set of new headlights, not just bulbs and ballasts. since these cars only have 1 bulb for high and low beam, the saleen headlights have a reflector that moves when you click high beams. these things are 1000 times better than the stock ones. i belive sylvania is the company that makes them for saleen.
i hate angel eyes unless they are a bmw, otherwise they are R I C E

there are a few cars out there that look okay, but your right, it really is BMW's thing. it may look interesting on you car since each headlight is like a perfect circle unlike most housings.
Nice stang! Reminds me of my old man's 1965 Mustang. A bunch of guys up here ripping around in new stangs... giving me the itch... but I digress... got the retro bug, wouldn't mind buying an old stang from the 60's...
Don't see any harm in flicking your HiD's!
