It's a valve cover gasket. If you can change your oil wtih your dominant hand tied behind your back, you can change it yourself.

Thats the greatest analogy I've ever heard...

Yes.. buy a Valve Cover Gasket kit.. replace it... and you should be fine.. That kit should come with O-rings too.... Werd!

I agree with replacing the Valve Cover Gasket

but on a side note ... i thought some oil in that area around the spark plugs was perfectly natural. I recall reading that in the instructional on how to change your spark plugs on pelicanparts.com

i believe it said that some oil in there is perfectly natural.

any insight on that?

JUST had the same problem.... Valve cover gasket fixed it easily, plus, while your in there, degrease your valve cover, if you really want you can paint it as well!

It's not normal. They say that it doesn't seem to affect performance.

If you buy the gaskets from Pelican, be aware that the Spark Plug Gaskets don't come with the Valve Cover Gaskets.

Ask me how I know...

I just replaced my valve cover gasket a few weeks ago. Pretty straight forward since I use the DIY from Pelicanparts.com. I went to the dealer and got the valve cover gasket which included the spark plug gaskets. I paid around $39. While I was in there, I replaced the plugs too .
