im sure this has already been posted many times before, but i can't find it. oh well. any kind of round about head gasket replacement cost(east coast)? it can probably wait a while, but my e-36 is like my balls. gotta take care of your balls.
but on a side note ... i thought some oil in that area around the spark plugs was perfectly natural. I recall reading that in the instructional on how to change your spark plugs on pelicanparts.com
i believe it said that some oil in there is perfectly natural.
any insight on that?

JUST had the same problem.... Valve cover gasket fixed it easily, plus, while your in there, degrease your valve cover, if you really want you can paint it as well!

If you buy the gaskets from Pelican, be aware that the Spark Plug Gaskets don't come with the Valve Cover Gaskets.
I just replaced my valve cover gasket a few weeks ago. Pretty straight forward since I use the DIY from Pelicanparts.com. I went to the dealer and got the valve cover gasket which included the spark plug gaskets. I paid around $39. While I was in there, I replaced the plugs too .
that's the plan- i just replaced the plugs when i found out there was oil in 'em. but i'll do it again if i got to. the set is on its way from bav auto. until then it's parked. ghead
