OIL LEAK....scary need help

Hello everyone,
I currently own a 1992 335i with 160+ miles on it. I absolutely love the car as it is my first BMW. Yesterday i encountered a severe problem on my way to work. The car suddenly stalled out with no warning of any kind, attempted to restart no luck. got out of the car and noticed that it had leaked an excessive amount of oil on the ground, however i discivered it only leaks when there is pressure in the engine. help!

I think the first place to check is the mounting point of the oil filter.

...especially so if you just changed oil.(i.e. oil filter screwed incorrectly, or oil filter itself burst at the seam.)
