Oil Leak

I just got a BMW 1998 323 is. I belive there is a engine oil leak from the car. It has around 60K miles on it. Any ideas what wrong with it?

where is it leaking? how much and how do you know? is there a puddle where you park? or is oil just missing after a certain amout of time. is there any visual oil on the outter casing of the engine anywhere? (around the gasket areas) even check to see if the oil plug is loose

Check the the oil filter mount. Cheap fix and common problem, as least with the 325's.

I think it is enigne oil , there is 5 to 10 drops of oil over the lot during the course of 3 to 4 hours. not sure how can i check from where it is leaking.THis is my first car that i ever owned. if don't mind can u tell me how can i check it ?
