Hi! I searched the old news without success to answer my question

I'll try to do my 1st oil change on my car this weekend... I seached the web to find the best oil filter...

I got a 318i 1998 with the M44 engine (1.9l).

What would you recommend?

I found Mahle, Mann, Bosch, Hengst,... on the net...

Every filter looks completely different from the others... I don't mind for the price since they're all cheap... so... wich is the best? Or can you recommend me another one?

The rest is up to you. I hear Mann is supposed to be the best. I usually go to the dealer, which I think is made by Mahle.
