oem factory alarm

just wanted to know if anyone knows where i might find an oem alarm harness (94 325i). what alarm part#s (brains) will work and what ones won't. thanks

they also have aftermarket that hooks into the stock alarm harness. and the after market kits are cheaper.

i already have the brain BMW # 82 11 1 469 445, FCC ID#A269ZUA110,
Serial #H60216662. at least i hope this is the right one. i just need the harness to plug it into my car. i also need the fob but i don't know if i have to use the old 3 button or if i can use a newer fob or key/fob if its programmed to my alarm (if possible).

I thought all '94 325i's were pre-wired for an alarm. If that's true (and I think there should be a little sticker somewhere in your trunk to confirm this), then all you have to do is take out your glovebox area and plug your component into the pre-existing plug/wiring harness. The fob you need for that model "brain" is the 3-button rectangular shaped fob with grey buttons.

thanks, i know my beemer is pre-wired, i was just under the impression that you had to have the 'harness' to plug the brain into the car's harness. i just want to get all my ducks in a row before i start tearing things apart.

do away with having the factory alarm the theives know all bmws alarm fuses and they are easy enough to get to! and anyway its made by serpi star its a very old system and they are very easy to bypass green wire is immobiliser on all old serpi star alarms. and after a while the rechargeable batteries in the massive siren under the hood leak and brake the siren and you end up paying more in the future go with clifford or something better.
