Odometer Lights

I have a 1996 328ic (just sold my first car owned since I was 16 1969 mustang mach1 that I have had for over 20 years to get it).

Anyway, my odometer lights only show the top half of the numbers and the lower half flicker at best. I assume and hope it is just a light bulb thing. If so, does anyone know specifically which light bulbs I need to get to save time and trips?

go to the dealer the bulbs are inexpensive and its much better to use OEM versus aftermarket.

I checked the lights in the console and they are ok. One thing I noticed is that the odometer lights work 100% when headlights are on and I press the Trip button on console but sometimes goes back to 50% (maybe because of car vibration?).

Any ideas on what is going on?
