Neither...1995 BMW's have a 20 pin connector under hood. I too have a 1995 325is (black)

so yes you can chip it.

Yep he was wrong. I don't think he knows what he's talking about.

95 and previous models are OBD1, 96+ models are OBD2. The newest BMW's compuer systems are too complex to reprogram the software, who knows what version it is anymore. Am I the only one who likes older cars because they are more simple?!

That 20 pin connector doesn't determine whether or not you have OBD 1 or 2. It's simply there for diagnostics and resetting engine codes/service lights.

You have a '95 325 so you have OBD1

Nah Auto...I wish I had known this stuff before every buying a BMW. I think the 95 and older models are great, especially for tuning. I'm in the market for a 95 M3
