i've had a warning "brake light circuit" a few times. i checked the brake light and found all of them working fine. today i after the warning came on again i noticed i had no brake lights at all but then the starting working again. i dont; have a service manual for my car yet but i was wondering if anyone else has a had a problem with the brake lights working and if they have what parts were replaced to fix the problem.

thanks bill

thanks for the help, i know it wasn't the bulbs. i was afraid i was gonna have to hunt electical gremlins in my first bmw. the warning hasn't come on for a few days now so i think i'll wait it out before i buy the relay.

thanks again

as long as you dont mind it being there every once in awhile dont ever replace it, because it doesnt really do anything.
