obc 11 ro obc 18 swap

i tried to cahnge my 11 button obc with thw 188 button and the 18 button is not even turning on. i`ve herad that it will work but you wont get all the function which doesent matter to me anyway as long as the regular obc 11 functions work
can the swap be done if so what extra steps should i take

maybe you wired it up wrong could be wired to the second plug not the first? there are two ports instead of the one on the back of the 18 button. its also very possible the unit was defective. i did look into this swap myself, but not very sure what was required to be done, i just gave up after i found out it wasnt a direct swap.

ya... i really wanted all the extra fuctions on the 18 button.. but its not worth all the wireing thats involved...

do you guys think that if i plug the one plug on the 11 buuton one on the 18 button one that it should at least give me something the plugs in the back of the 18 button have a diferent fit plugs cannot interchange may be the unit is defective i dont really want the complete functions anyway too much work
got it to replace my old one because thepixels are preety much all gone

on a side note... anyone got a 11 button going for cash?

the lines on mine are pretty fucked and i tried the fix on pelican to provide extra pressure to the connector strip but still no luck... i think oxygen or water got into the lcd connection strip and oxidized the contacts.. i hate pcb's with conection strips.
