Nothing happens when i hit the gas?!?!?

I have a 318ti, and when I was driving last night and the pedal just wen't straight to the floor. Now there is no give and the pedal goes straight to the floor and back up again. What do I need to repair?

check that the linkage isnt broken on the peddle first. secondly check the throttle cable located near the intake

Ok, Great thanks, i have a supercharger where would the throttle cable be/looklike because im having a real difficult time finding it. Also the pedal definately seems connected. Where on the throttle is the cable connected because i can sucessfully use the throttle by hand manually. Just doesent work when i push the pedal. ANY INPUT IS GREAT!

you might have snapped the cable. looks to me like your gonna have to do some tracing. get dirty and follow the line, see if you pick up any slack somewhere. honestly thats all the advice i can give. ive never seen a snapped throttle cable on a bimmer yet.

Sounds like a broken cable to me. Or atleast it got disconnected from the pedal. There should be some other ti guys that can help you better.

Took the whole damn thing apart last night.... I actually found the break in the throttle cable!!! Thank god. BMW said they counldnt even quote a price if it was not the cable. Im ordering one right now and I should be back up and running in a few days. Just so severyone know's i did see a recall online and im waiting to hear. It is a recall on throttle cable and cruise control cable's just snapping. Info can be found here...

that scares me...I don't want my throttle cable snapping. Where abouts did you find the break?
