Not throwing A Lot of Air

Hey I was hoping you guys out there could help me out. I have refilled my AC and all, it comes out cold, but no matter weather its hot or cold air, it just doesnt seem to throw out a lot of air. I have a mini cooper s, and when I turn on the air it throws a shit load of it out, where my BMW seems very weak.

Any ideas???

The blower motor may be on it's way out. Mine started actiing like that a couple years ago and one day it just finally quit blowing all together.

I did the work myself to replace the motor, but it ended up being a huge nightmare. That is the biggest PITA repair I have ever done on any vehicle. If it ever went out again, I'd probably have someone else do it.

check your cabin air filter... maybe its very old and dirty...

+1 i would just go ahead and find somewhere thatll give you a discount for a tune up kit and just replace all the filters and shit in your car while you at it...

cabin filter, i replaced it on my car, and had the ac recharged...blows ice cold even in my 100+ degree texas heat

I took this statement as he did all the normal maintinance on the A/C system (which would include replacing the filter).

delmarco, had a nice write up on replaceing the cabin filter, i myself have never tried it, but it didn't seem to hard...

Someone else told me to replace the filter. Its as if something is clogged and wont let all the air in. If you find that link hook me up.
