Not Sure If This Is A Problem/

When I really push my car, I smell something. It's kind of like a hot smell but it's not like a burning hot smell. it's not a cat smell or buring oil smell. It just smells kind of weird. maybe clutch or something? anyone else have this problem when they push thier bimmers?

ya.. i do.. mine is auto tho.. so i don't think its the clutch.. i think its just an abuse smell HEH

okay because I'm pretty sure mine did it when I had an auto too. I was up to 144 today on the freeway :P

If your tire pressure is off it could be the tires.

didn't think about the tires. yeah I pulled up just short of 145. I was really going to go for 150 but I got scurred :P

Last summer driving to maine...I got up to like 120 mph for like 20 minutes straight I got a burning rubber smell, but I suspected it was coming from the exhaust from the other cars in road. Usually even at lower speeds I sometimes get a burning smell coming in but it's usually from a truck or tractor trailer burning diesel fuel nearby!

I think it's the exaust heating up but I'm not sure. I'd like to take one of those digital tempature readers and after I push it go around the car and find the heat source
