is this normal???

Hey guys, I've noticed that when my car sits in neutral, the shift knob kinda jiggles (kinda like dancing to the music)
I guess thats normal right???
Cause before I had a Celica and a CL (both stick shift) and they never did that.

i dont know how bad the jiggle is, but i would say both of my cars did have a slight "wiggle"
not too bad, but its there and its pretty normal in my car so i dont pay attention, but if its out of control jiggling, then it could be a few things ie, engine/tranny mounts, gears shaking, clutch, fly wheel.....you may want to have it checked out.

thanks mark for the reply, well it doens't go like crazy jiggle but like when i hold it you can feel a little vibration. I'll probably check the mounts and the clutch later on, thanx anyway.

A little vibration is completely normal. It's just the transmission.

Vibration is normal.

Play in the shifter develops over time. There is a small pin or bushing that can fix it.

I'll look for the link when I get a chance.
