OK you all my have heard me refer to my little brother's '92 325is, black, cats taken out, clear corners, lots of stuff done NICE car
The town my brother is in in New Mexico had a freak hailstorm, baseball size hail.... HIS CAR IS TOTALED! dented to hell, all the windows broken out, interior full of ice and riped to shreads by the glass....
town is like a disaster zone, dorm windows broken out, kids in the hospital everything.
And the question is if we were to part the car who would be honestly intrested and in what? (front supention is called for)
But the question is: Will the insurance company consider it a total? If they do, your brother gets paid and they take the car.
But if they do not TOTAL the car and settle on repair, your brother should take the insurance money for repair and if he doesn't want the vehicle any more, he should sell it piece by piece and make a profit.
Just a thought!
BTW, BMWBEAUTY, I had my first vist to TULSA last week!
Insurence is liabilty only (18 year old guy in a BMW can't afford more) so insurence says sorry charlie! needless to say everyone in the family is pulling together to try to get him back into a BMW even if it's not as nice as his is/was.
thats why I wonder what people would want if we part it, see if we can make enough to help us get him a new one
So does this mean the seats are screwed? If not, i'd like to call on them and the small part of the door panels. (what color interior?) And rear suspension, stock or not? I'd like the rear springs, and the taillights. Hope everything goes well.
