noobie in the forum.............

This forum is great, and I need some help. I just recently got cleaned out in a divorce and my mechanic came across a 94 318is for 4500 bucks, it has 108k on it and the interoir looks like no one ever sat in it. I bought new outer trim and new badges and replaced one of the factory foglights. Ant suggestions on where to start with the stereo? I see all this stuff about built in crossovers and amps, all I want to do is replace the speakers and the deck, any suggestions on brand? I saw a sony with a red display that will match the inside lighting...any thoughts? Oh yeah lets get this out of the way, its black and 4 cyl and two pedals but it still a BMW and after my divorce3 I am luck to afford that. Thanks for listening or replying

there may be some helpful information. personally, i like the alpine units better than the sony.

Don't get Sony. They just aren't good in general. Definetly go with Alpine, thats what im getting on Monday.
