| lower profile tires will have higher road noise because they are naturally less cushioning to impact on the road, so a lot of noise can be heard. I have had Dunlops mounted on 15s before and they were very noisy tires. They didn't last long at all. I've said a few times in this forum that I DO NOT LIKE DUNLOPs. I am sure their higher end models are much better, but they have a lot that are low end and low quality. I would suggest Continentals or Bridgestones. Michelin, Goodyears, Yokohamas, BF Goodrich, are all great tires that will cause minimum road noise pending on the size and quality of the tires as well. Some tires will have softer rubber compounds when compared to others. Softer tires should provide less road noise. Check out the FAQs for more info on tires.
