I have a 97 318i...my problem is I'll get a clunking while sitting at a complete stop. Now to explain this further it won't happen all the time but if it does it once during a drive every time I stop it will make this sound. Also I can let off the brake pedal and the noise will continue. used Any suggestions???
I am confused about your post... is this an engine noise? a suspension noise? please try to explain the circumstances and the type or loaction of the noise better so people can help you
It's definately not an engine noise. I don't think it's a suspension noise since I'm sitting at a complete stop. If I'm really light on the brake pedal I can almost feel the clunk in the pedal, however if I let off the brake pedal the clunk continues. It sounds as if it's coming from behind the dash.
