I found the DIY on how to eliminate the parking lights, but still have working blinkers. Basically all you do is use electrical tape on the bottom of the bulb and block the connection that is for the parking lights. I want to try this but am concerned it will create a short or some other electrical headache. Anyone try this yet and have any problems?
i want to do this as well, my friend went so far as to actually snip the wire that actually controls the parking light. it works and, to me, its safer. you can always splice it back.
something about electrical tape just doenst sit right with me.
no, the tape does not conduct, it insulates, so there is no charge running through it, ive had the electrical tape on there for months, and i checked my bulbs when i changed out my headlights, and the tape was in the exact condition as it was when i put it in months ago

Thanx for the compliment..I got it from RPIEQUIPPED.COM. I believe I got the last one tho. It only cost $150. THey had taken it off the website since, but I would call the company and see if they can get more.
