Nitrous in E36

Forgot to mention that when I had my car chipped the guy showed me his bimmer...

This car was raced in the Gumball 3000 and he has done many Britballs too...

When he opened the boot it was hard to not notice the bottle of NOS and i commented on it...when he had installed my chip he took me out to show off his car...

This car was rapid without the NOS and I guess that where he could gain an extra 1 bhp he had done the mod...he reckoned that at the wheels it kicked out 280 bhp

When he flipped the NOS switch the world went crazy! First there was this huge hissing noise, then a small explosion THEN we fish-tailed down the road practically sideways, one way then the other until we got traction and then the road became a blur as I held on for dear life!!

I have only ever felt G's like this from one other car and that was a race prepared TVR Tuscan

He reckons that the whole kit included a fresh tank of NOS is £430 or $780

It's not something I'd do to my girl as I would have to spend 3 times that on uprated brakes, clutch, gearbox etc...but, if you had a reasonable car to mess around with you could have more fun than anything you could with your clothes on!

My friend had a mustang with an ass load of mods, and a 200hp shot. It would run mid 12s without the juice and 11's with it.

we were riding around one day, cruizing at about 65 when he stepped on it and turned the 200hp hit on. I wasn't ready for it and it snapped my head back hard enough to make me bite my tongue and draw blood. It was carzy how hard that car could snap you back.

Funny you should mention the tongue biting incident as he took great delight in telling me that his wife had a nose bleed the first time he took her out in it and used the NOS!

When he kicked it I couldnt move and I'm NOT exaggerating...this NOS shit is brutal!!

I would love to have it but it just burns the motor up too fast, I agree with wulley1, a shot of 30 would be perfect, maybe 40 though hahahah

hahahaha.. halarious... no affense of anything to all... but Spray is definately not like it is in fast and furious.. my friend has a 1983 caprice.. with a 383 stroker and a 2 stage nitrous setup...this car is fast!!! all it is is like a downshift from the motor but with ALOT more power, u can barely hear a difference... the only sound it makes is when it blows off.... anyway, i wouldn't mess with Nitrous since your gunna need a lot of money just to prep your car for the spray.... but HEY, not my car, Good luck with whatever u do!

actually its safe to run a 25 shot on bimmers withtout any internal mods

I agree, it's safe to run a 25hp shot without serious mods. I plan on installing a wet kit after I get an exhaust/cai/software installed on the car.

I have test drive a 380 HP at the wheels fully race bimmer that wigth close to 2300 Lbs. and didn't bite my tongue. we're talking of 6.05 HP ratio.
