NGK spark plug and fuels filter - BMW Forum

hey i put NGK spark plug on my 1997 bmw 328i , you thing NGK are good for
my bmw engine.

and after change the spark plug,
sure i change the fuel filter? please gieve a advise what to do if to change the fuel filter...?

clean the injectors, i did this at the same time as the fuel filter and it made a difference in performance

I can't really help with the fuel filter but can comment on NGK's

I'm currently running NGK Iridiums in my 325i and can't fault them if i'm honest! A good plug if you can't push yourself to buy Denso's

hey how did clean them? you take off from the engine, you did yourself?

Take the fuel pump fuse out. In my fuse box I believe it was fuse #18. Let the car run till it stalls/dies. Then disconnect the fuel lines on either side of the fuel filter (reduces fuel spilled).

You can run some fuel injector cleaner or take them off an clean them with brake clean. Cleaner can be ran mixed with fuel in the tank or directly from the bottle by disconnecting the fuel line.

The hassle free way of doing it is add injection cleaner in to the fuel tank.

A little bottle of Techron Injector Cleaner plus 7 gallons of gas every 1000 miles will help clean injectors and the fuel system. This does not replace the periodic clean up like you wish to do. What you wish is to clean (or have cleaned) the injectors with an ultrasonic washer. Check with your mechanic.

which fuels injector cleaner is the best for bmw ? i want a good want. cause i have to replace fuel filter tooo

I'd reccomend NGK plugs. My 94 325i had bosch 4 ground plugs that were new when I bought it and I switched to ngk and got about 2mpg better. I've always had good results with NGK plugs in all of my vehicles.
