Newbie Here Just Saying Hi

Hello all! I just wanted to say hi as a new owner of a 2000 323i. I just got it on Saturday and popped over here from my old 5.0 forums. I had been driving a 91 Mustang 5.0 coupe as a daily but figured it was time to step up. I love this car! The only thing I miss is the quick throttle response that I have in my coupe. I'll get some photos up as soon as I buy more disks for the camera.

She's steel gray with gray leather, auto (used for work).

First off

Since you went from a torque monster 5.0, to a 2.3 I can see why you think the response is slower. I would guarantee you that unless your 5.0 was modded, the response in your bimmer is way quicker. You're just used to the torque of a 5.0 liter engine compared to one that is less than half its size.

Thanks! Auto but so is my 5.0 Yeah it's a little modded but I plan on modding my BMW with an exhaust and a chip. I love the way it hugs the road. I got the premium sport package. I want to take my stereo out of my 5.0 and put it in the bmw but it doesn't look like it would work too well? Anyone do that? I have an Eclipse deck with two amps and a sub.

your system will go from the mustang to the bmw easily if you need help getting everything figured out you can either check out the audio forum on here, or just take it somewhere and have them install it for you
