New tires needed.

Ok, so I come back from vacation to find out that the bimmer's shoes are OVER!!!

I dunno, seems last time I checked em they were fine...whatever.

The whole tire isn't fucked, it's basically just about an inch on the outside that's worn out flat and the inside seems to have slight thread left, is this a weird use pattern?? Or is it normal??

Either way, both front tires are cooked, highway driving in the wet is really sketchy and possibly disastrous...

With the current set up, all 4 tires are yokohamas, am I wrong to assume that I can slap some different brand of tires in the front, if I happen to find a good deal on them????

Would definitly get ur tracking checked on the front. Could be out if ur tyres have scrubbed out on the inside or outside edge. If it's both edges, low tyre pressures can cause it too.

U can fit pretty much any tyres u want really, as long as the tyres are the same on both sides of the same axle...

Center of the tread not wearing = underinflation
Outside of the tread an inside (IE: towards center of car) means your camber is messed up: Go get an alignment as soon as you get new tires. You'll notice your car steers SO MUCH BETTER afterwards.

My camber looks a bit inwards, so my inside tread should be wearing more, I'm getting some new pirellis in a few days\weeks so I dont give a sh*t at the moment

Check out tirerack.com, and the link in my sig. those are the tires I'm gonna get, highest ratings I've seen for a tire that is only a hundred bucks a pop. And ity's a pirelli, so it can't be CRAP. The tires I have on now are 99$ each and I'd rate them about a 6 across the board. (Kumho Ecstaca's.. I dont know the sub-type)

Ah....Yeah I found that the use pattern really wasn't looking right.

That sucks that I didn't watch that more carefully...damn.

It definitely is the outer side of the tires that are much more worn than the inside.
