welcome to bimmerwerkz! post pics!! as for making it faster, i myself have a 318i, theres not much you can do to those besides a chip, intake and exhaust, unless you wanna spend on a supercharger or a engine swap, wait you said u didnt want to spend in a supercahrger, nevermind then, i dunno what im saying its kinda late and im tired and a lil drunky..not to much, jsut a little

thanx guys well im getting a CAI i got the exhaust with header . but what do you guys mean by chip? nad thanx gor the welcome aswell...
I uploaded a pic of the car.... that was 2 days ago and just yesterday I had it tinted... soo i'll have to take a pic of that once i can get a nice shot....
other than that Im planning on waitting till this snow is gone till i can purchase some really nice dubz hehehe
well cant go all out just some nice looking ones i guess...
ohh i was also thinking if im "lucky" and looked really hard that i might fine a M3 crashed up but engine is till good.... ether at a junk yard or an aunction... but we'll see how that goes ....
as for suppercharger.turbocharger are the ones last on my mind along with the engine sway.. cause then i would see which would be cheaper....
Just bought a 98 323i convertible for my wife and will be pestering you guys with questions. It has 86k mi and is in pretty good condition. Need to solve the abs problem as my first project. Where online do you guys find discount parts sources? I also own a 97 Ford F250 with the 7.3L diesel so I have been educated somewhat on ecm problems but this is a whole different animal. I live in South Ms. close to the coast and we got hammered by the Katrina B&^%@ last year and are still cleaning up the mess.

it came with the car lol when i traded it soo yah umm i might make my own CAI... or umm K&N intake....
Cosmos racing intake should fit. www.cosmosracing.com. www.velocityfactor.net sells a Carbonio carbon fiber intake that will work. A chip is just the brain of your ECU, the box that controls the engine and other parts of your car. Go to www.turnermotorsports.com to find out about chips. Your engine has about 136 hp stock, and not much ft/lbs of torque. The exhaust, intake and chip is not going to add a lot of hp and very little down low. I don't know if anyone makes cams for the engine, might do a search.

thanx guys yah i know tunerworks... soo far there prices are pretty high but i mean hey its euro cars but i mean i get my parts from speedtech...ther price is just a bit cheaper and same qaulity....even though they dont specialize in BMW only hondas and such
Bought my first BMW after 50. Why?
1996 Black 318IS Coupe M44, E36 (5) speed.
Was running like a top. Decided to update alternator, belts, tensioner and waterpump. ran well but slightly different for one month.
One rainy night I tanked up and drove thirty miles to home and left in the driveway, although it's always garaged. Next morning it would turn but not start. Like it was missing a spark. Plugged in my code reader into the data port and it was unable to read the codes. I then disconnected the battery
negative cable and now it will turn, make some clicking sound, the speedometer needle spins wildly.
Do I have an Electronic Control Module problem and did I mess it up by removing the terminal??
Can the ECM be reset or is my only option to bring it to a BMW Dealer??
