Hello,
I've found this post tremendously helpful. It's very nice to find some knowledgable people who are willing to help out. I just bought a '93 BMW 325i. i totaly love it and want to start playing. I think first i will add a new higher performance air filter. Does anyone have any suggestions or insight from experience about a good brand. I know I put a K&N filter in my old '91 audi 90 quattro, but that didn't seem to increase horsepower or efficiency (or maybe just negligibly), so I know that these types of filters just don't have much of an effect on some cars. So, I'm hoping someone could tell me if a K&N filter would be worth it or should I just save up for a bit and throw in a whole CAI. Let me hear your thoughts. Thanks.
Ramy
Fairly straightforward. Unless you have ellipsoids or one of those three piece CAI. Other than that, its a straight bolt on. I think that if you could change your oil, you can put in a cai.

dinan or cosmos...
every so often 1 or 2 of these will pop up on ebay! but they go fast!
Cold Air Intakes and Chips really seem to be the hot topics and if you do a search here you can learn alot.
I have been looking at the Conforti CAI that is on Turnermotorsport.com, also there is one on activeautowerke.com that looks good., and there is always the ECIS CAI ecisbmw.com. I would look at ebay but not even consider the ones that you can get for like $30-60. Although $350 for the Conforti one is a little high.
