So I just received and dropped in a brand new Green High Performance Air filter in my stock airbox. They claim 8hp at 5500 RPM's. I've heard more like 5?...
I don't know...the car is definitely a lot smoother on acceleration. Does it feel faster? I'd like to think so...but who the hell knows
hey
where did you buy this from ? is it better then the K&N air filter ?

I have heard that it is better than K&N, but at the very least equivalent as far as projected HP gains...I bought it from their site http://www.greenfilterusa.com/
I bought the cleaning kit with it for like $14, but the filter itself was like $55...again comparable to K&N
I guess probably no difference between the two overall...
K&N filters have to stay oiled. As the oil dries they don't filter as well, meaning nasty shit can get into your engine. Green filters flow slightly less air, but filter much better.

If you want better filtration, use a stock paper filter. Nothing gets past that. If you're really anal about things like that, the performance gains (if any) are not worth the price and possible damage to the motor.
