new and need help

alright so i bought my 328is and had it for about a month now. and my oil regulator gauge was lighting up on the red side. the manual says its normal and that its due to the hot air outside. i live in sac and hasn't hit the 100's for a while now so it hasn't hit the red and staying right in the middle where it should be. so i just wanted to know if i had anything to worry about or am i going to have a blown head gasket?

I'd say that all has to be looked at and fixed.

You have an aftermarket oil temperature gauge? Or is that what you are calling the gauge on the far right of the instrument cluster? I am not trying to be a jerk -- you never know when someone may be sincerely confused.

Wink

i dunno how to assist you on this one. first the oil, and then coolant. can we be more specific?

You're in Sac. I go to a shop in the South side on 14th Ave. They work on bimmers a lot and can help ypou with your probsif you are not a DIY'er.
