New Headlights Installed! - BMW Forum

So I just finished installing these suckers...it took me 5 hours! Now I'm not a retard or anything but I didn't think it would take that long. Things that slowed me down were relocating my alarm horn, finding a good place for the ballasts, checking and double checking and most of all was making sure the lights were positioned properly (those dam expanding rivets). But it was all worth it. The lights look great when they are not even on. Makes the car look alot more classy. But when I turn them on...WOW! I did the parking light delete and I connected the city lights while I was at it. I am VERY happy to say the least. I didn't even get the low beam failure warning. Anyways, I can't take pics now, besides, it's not even dark yet. I'll post pics later.

dude! the pics oft hew NEW headlights arent working.. lol out of all the pics,w hy did those have to be the ones that didnt work

They're working for me, maybe it's because I used geocities.

I tried installing my ZKW last night and had problems with the plastic rivets... It seems that the plastic on my ZKW unit is thicker than the stock NA units and the rivets don't have enough space in each "groove" to accomodate the thicker ZKW plastic...

Did you all use the same rivets to install the ZKW that you took off the stock?

Yep, I used all the same mounting hardware.

Hey brother,

I actually live right in Toronto (there's another user that has Geoff in his name from Bolton).

I'm going to try to do the work with a tech in Whitby after work, but if I can't get it... maybe I could used your expertise?

I also wanna go HID, so I'd love to see yours in person because it looks money in the pictures and I'm thinking of using the exact same kit!

It was the package kit from Umnitza.
The HID system is X-TEC.
