Whats up fellas. I'm new to the forum. Just got my first bimmer a few months ago. (I'll post the pics soon) I'm searching around and need some opinions on new headlights. I'm on a semi-limited budget...meaning, I'm married (no HID's unfortunately). I read in another string that the Euro-epsoloids are the best. Can anyone direct me to a good site where I can buy quality lights. The crap corners I bought from some schmoe on E-bay already leaked and fogged up, so I'm looking to buy from a better source. Any info would be awesome. Thanks.
There is a ton of threads on this site discussing this, and you will find on all of them that i highly recomend ZKW ellipsoids. Unlike Depo and Hella (which are aftermarket manufacturers), the ZKW is the factory replacement in Germany. I bought mine from [HERE] and they look mean as hell!! B)

I've heard what jllphan said from numerous other people as well. ZKW is apparently the way to go for elipsoids.

not to steal kamakazinyc's thunder, but the M-technic spoiler can be ordered with the mesh front. Or, you can do what i did, knock out those plain lookin bars, spend 12bucks on anodized aluminum mesh (ebay) and hour of your time and presto.
I like the Ebay deal... More info please... I have a 540i & 3281i Convertible.....both sliver and want to do both the least expensive (not cheap) way possible. Do you have pics of your mesh front?

Twin: If your talking to me, that is the only pic that i have at the moment (more to come on Sat.) I would never recomend anyone buy anything from ebay or a website that looks like the one i'm about to tell you about, but it is just mesh. no moving parts, nothing to leak, just mesh. That being said....
I just did a search on ebay for grill mesh, and found a universal sheet being auctioned by eurogrills.com for about ten bucks. This is not super high quality stuff, but it is not britle or super flimsy, and it won't rust or anything. you can spend a lot more on this stuff (bmpd.com sells it) but it is way more expensive, and i just don't see how it could be that much better.
jllphan what thunder are you talken about. used
I got my mesh from dealer about $65 after one robed my front bumper. And both my lower mesh and the grill are painted to match the car

kamakazi: I just noticed the question was aimed at you, not me. Didn't want to be rude, and just answer in your place.
infared: I bought those from everyone's favorite place, ProCarParts.com I now have oem smoked corners (i broke the ones in the pic after removing them only once), and a whole bunch of other crap (eyelids, DDE, etc.) and hope to take some pics this weekend.
HOLY SHIT, AM I THE ONLY PERSON ON HERE THAT HAS BOUGHT STUFF ON EBAY AND NOT RECIEVED ABSOLUTE CRAP IN RETURN??
i got my corners, side markers, taillights, oem front seats and and even my wheels from eBay....the lenses have been on there for a while and have been perfect, no cracking, fogging up or anything. and the rims were actually quality and have been great....i mean i wouldnt trust getting an cheap M3 front clip from there or anything , but so far ive been real happy and saved my ass a wholelot of $$$ in the process. maybe ive just been lucky tho
