new halo's not glowing too bright

So I just installed my new halo lights on my E36 318is. I noticed that they don't glow when my lights are turned off while car is running. Is that normal? I usually see other cars where theirs glow even when their lights are off. I also notice they don't glow so bright. Seems like when I am looking at them head on.. portions of the ring are not lit up Any ideas or comments?

Option racing... I first bought from a different compnay through andy's but they substituted my headlights for one's that are wayyy different than the ones I originally ordered. I hooked up the wires to my side markers... God I am so pissed... they suck

What do they look like? I went to the website and I see a bunch of them. To me, it looks like the halos consist of 4 LED's or 4 bulbs of some sort. I see them on Integras and other crappy cars around my hometown and they sure are dull. I didn't see the lamps for the E36, but if they look like anything like the other headlights for BMW pictured I'm sorry to say, they look hideous (just my honest opinion so don't get mad at me).

If I were you, I'd send those lamps back to the bastards and tell them you received something you didn't order as well as mention the crappiness of the product in general.

I'd look into something like this for projector headlights.



These are the DEPO P36's. They're brilliant because you can disassemble the entire lamps and basically do whatever you want with them. DEPO also makes smoked/clear corners as well. In these headlights it is common to see CCFL's and LED AE's installed.

Also, you can buy this harness to set up your AE's to DRL/DDE (Daytime running lights or Daytime Demon Eyes)

It's pretty simple to install and it has two built in lighting features...
1) AE's turn on in when key in ignition is in POS2 or ignition. Angel Eyes will only be on assuming parking lights and headlights aren't on
2) Unlock/Remote feature which will turn on the AE's when you unlock the car and when you turn on your interior lights. It can also be added to a switch as well. (Seen them in use at car shows so Angel Eyes are on without having to put the key in the ignition.

It's a pretty neat little harness and it's easy to modify. I used to have my Angel Eyes wired to my parking lights but I got tired of the look. Now I have a look like this...

That's what I wanted! The look I am definitely going for.. I'm furious.. yea they are pretty dull though but they don't look much like the pic you had up.... they glow in purplish blue color... I am def taking them off and sending back. What a waste of money

Just found the P36 Depo brand new on Ebay for about 320 bucks.....hmm.. thinking about buying them now.. taking the stupid crappy lights off and reinstalling my OEM. What do you think?

Yeah, the picture I posted wasn't that great of quality. I know all about the purplish-blue dull hue of the other headlights. Like I said before, I see them everywhere around town.

$320? I found a better deal for you. Click HereThrough DDM tuning you're looking at $220 for the heaadlights with a free 35 watt HID kit. An additional $60 will get you the DDE thin line Angel Eyes.
