New to E36 - few questions

Hi all.... I'm coming over from an E30 325is to an E36 318is..... (cant post pics right now, cam isnt working!)

As much as I loved my 30, I hope my 36 pleases me too.

My hazard lights do not work. When I push the button in nothing happens. When I turn the lights on, the hazard button lights up as it should. When I push it in, the light turns off. When I turn my indicator stalk to left then the button flashes (when depressed) but not both indicators as one would expect from the hazard lights. Nothing happens when the stalk is to the right.

Next: My accelerator feels stiff/tight. The cable maybe?

Hazards could perhaps be a bad relay?
