New E.c.u. Or Computers???

We have couple of other cars in my family and i was wondering can you get a new e.c.u. for a 1992 325i. Or some kind of program like we have one for our ford excursion and chevy pickup it plugs into a outlet under the steering wheel and you can change the HP and top speed limiter and several other things can you get something like for BMW? or is it only made of USA cars

thats for the OBD1... u can not reprogram that from the obd port... with bmws u can buy a "chip" which will give u more hp! and take off the top speed limiter

its not hard to do... you just have to open a compartment in ht eengine bay and replace the chip with a new one

The programming thing is for vehicles 1996 and newer (OBD II). For the older cars, usually, you can replace a chip for the same idea..
