I am new to here and i don't know much about BMW really but i have a 1992 silver 325i. I have been asking questions alot about how to get more HP out of it they said to change the exhaust system and put NOS and maybe the intake. Will that make a different or is there more effective way to do this?
hey thanks for welcoming me i have a chip in it already so i might add some more stuff. Mine runs great also even though miles is gettin high but its still good.

dont put NOS unless you want to kill your engine.
I recommend Turbo Charging it if you want Major gains. Do standard mods, Pulleys, Chip, Intake etc.

Supercharging is also another good solution. Good luck with the project
NOS - on a 325i - LMAO! Which petrol head recommended that?
Seriously, avoid NOS - do the basics - chip (which you've done), remove weight eg soundproofing materials, tools and spare, Fit a Cold Air Intake, Fit Performance Exhaust
These are all relatively cheap in comparision to polishing and porting or supercharging and you should see an increase in hp of about 20 bhp - which on a 325i you will definitely notice!
Since your concerned about what to get, and if the gains are legitimate.... try searching the forum for your answers first (odds are it been debated here already) then post up what your looking for.
We'll probably never totally agree which product is the best, or best to do first..... but you will surely get a good consensious on whether the item is decent or a POS.
Depending on how much you want to do, but my guess is if you are looking to bolt on some new items, a chip is probably the first and best bang for the buck mod.
To do list:
Suspension--- researching
UUC System U TDM- 3/05
M50 manifold converstion 3/05
off to the tuning shop for custom software 4/05
Cams/lightened flywheel, throttlebody........ well lets see what happens
okay thanks i guess i will stay away from NOS. I was told today that a turbo charger can screw up the engine so you have to be carful with it is this true? How can you fit anything in the engine if everything is very tight already. I already have chips and bilstein suspension. but thanks

if you take care of it and do the necessary upgrades it will give you great gains and still not hurt your engine, but as otehrs mentioned supercharges is also anotehr great way to go. They dont hurt the engine nearly as much and still give you a decent gain
