Hey guys... further to my previous questions about converting a 318 its probably not worth bothering... so now i'm looking around for 325i 2dr's ...

I have found one at the moment that has got my attention at the moment... its a 1995 325i 2 dr coupe.... comes with full alarm with remote start, tv/dvd entertainment system, m3 body kit, clear tail lights, 17" rims, and remus exhaust... 150'000 km's - NOT miles.. i'm from australia..

ok.... now some question for you guys...... what are these cars like?? can you give me some kinda main points of things to look out for on these cars??

are the auto's in these models any good?? and also it doesn't have sunroof is it at all possible to get one installed later on... it seems to be a really nice tidy car...

see the pic below.... appreciate all your comments/criticism, advice and opinions..

Thanx

hey, that looks a nice car, all it needs really is a rear spoiler which you can pick up from any mod shop, Coupe (e36) modification parts are really easy to come by nowadays.

As for the running of the car.. I have a 325i myself and i would say its been quite expensive for me with petrol, servicing, new tyres etc... but petrol prices in Britain are very high (most expensive in Europe) so its might be different in Australia.

On the whole I wouldnt swap my car for anything else..mechanically its solid and reliable as long as you have it regularly serviced (every 6,000 miles) and I wouldnt advise to go to a bmw dealer as they will charge a fortune...either carry out the servicing yourself or source a reliable, trustworthy local garage.

The drive of the BMW is second to none..its handles superbly and as yours is a 6 cylinder as well its a very smooth ride and very quick through the gears.

Hope this helps in your decision

Cheers

I also have 1995 325i coupe - manual trans - gets about 19.5km/litre (although that is almost all city traffic driving, and I live in Manila, the Philippines). I won't pretend to be an expert on autos but this car is phenomenal and handles like a dream. I love it and have no need to "upgrade" to the newer Bimmer models. Mine luckily only has 50,000km ...

JAX -- hmm, will double check latest readings then. That was what I remember seeing on the computer from time to time.

Mine is 325i with 2 dr. They do exist. It's not an is -- very different looking body style.

Merlin, regarding repairs, yes mine have been somewhat expensive, but because of where I live (and every stupid little part imported), I think any costs I mention to you would not be representative. And my car takes more wear and tear due to very poor road conditions here (had to eventually replace all rims due to pothole damage). But once you start driving it, you will realize it is a small price to pay for an extremely satisfying drive.

nice looking car.. any other pics maybe an interior shot... was the car beat on?? any accidents??

other than that... u said about 120,000 kilometers... so thats about 85,000 miles...

exterior: alteza tails = a no no.. in most eyes, and the chrome rims, we have had to many posts on "how chrome rims and BMW's don't match... other than those 2 things, looks good.. u should pick it up!
