new to the board and need some help

Hey, Im new to the board here b/c of the possibility of acquiring a BMW. It would be my first, so Im looking for a 92-94 model. As of now i have found a 1995 325 IS for $6900. The seller did not give the mileage what would you guys estimate the mileage to be for this price? Also i just did a search on how to change the water pump b/c i dont want to pay the mechanic too much money. It looks like i can do it..may be an all day job though. Anyway my question is what are these M6 bolts or are they already on the car? just confused and need advice.

kelley blue book gives ~$9400 for 200,000 miles... if the price is $6900, either the mileage is much higher or something could be wrong with with the car.

any auto parts store should carry M6 bolts. they are basically ordinary bolts, but the designations M5, M6, etc. determine specific sizes. you need two long ones to screw into the water pump and push it out against the block.

Waterpump is and easy fix. If you are mechanically inclined at all you should be able to get it done in less than 2 hours. I did mine after work a few days after i got the car, simple really.
