I know this is about my new car but I have to tell you about my first car....
It was a 1984 318i that was a beautiful ugly gold that my brother gave to me when I turned 16. The odometer was stuck at 260k, and we think that happened in the previous owner before my brother! He had it for 3 years - you can only imagine what it is really at. It had continuous battery/corrosion problems that really pissed me off. I owned that baby until my dad got sick of me calling him to come pick me up/give me a jump... so he bought me a 1987 White 325is that felt like a dream come true. 6 cylinders.... wow! It felt like so much of a difference from 4. I was content.
Since about 9th grade I have always have had a crush on BMWs. When I got my hands on that old 318i I could still feel its luxury and class – it was 20 years old for goodness sakes. When my dad gave me the 325is I truly found out why BMW is the Ultimate Driving Machine.
Just 2 weeks ago I found my dream car with a for sale sign on it. It was a Beautiful Black 1992 325is manual coupe. It had 175 thousand miles on it and the owner wanted $3800 for it. The interior was beautiful very well taken care of. My crush had turned into a deep passionate love. So I paid some money and my parents paid some money and we took it home that day.
There is a few minor things wrong with it but nothing I can’t fix. The skirts are a little faded but that is fine by me. My girlfriend's step dad is the head painter at an Auto Body shop and he will giving me a free paintjob if I just pay for supplies. I want to go from black to Estoril Blue (something about that color just excites me). But first I am going to order some parts.... yes you guessed it... M-tech kit (front and rear bumpers, skirts, and wing with LED). It already has a nice sounding exhaust that definitely isn't ricer but has a nice low rumble to it. I forgot what time of wheels/rims he put on it but he said he paid 1500 for them 2 months before we bought it. He also replaced the A/C compressor and it blows ice ice cold. I am extremely happy and excited about this car. I want to put a chip in it but I honestly don't know which one. I have read posts on the top 3 that are out there but I still have no clue which brand to go for. But anyway - this first post is way to long. I am sorry - I just got carried away with excitement. But I'm just looking for tips/hints/friends in this place and I am sure I will find them! You guys take care and nice to meet you all! I will get some pictures of it next time I have a digital camera on hand. Adios!
