the only place I've found that sells any kind of 318 filter is Racing Dynamics. www.rac-dyn.com. But its not a CAI. I heard in one of the forums I frequent, that the 318 sounds awful with an open filter. that's why there are no CAI for them. K&N does make a panel replacement filter, I believe. Might be your best bet.

1995 325I, window tint, K&N, debaffled airbox, BMW #104 wheels, Nighthawk low beams, smoked side markers, smoked corners, smoked taillights, M3 stlye heated mirrors, various interior bits, Bosal cat-back.

Having installed and used an open k&n filter on my 96 318i, I can attest to the fact that the engine sounds like a rice rocket...

yes, it does sound more burly
yes, it does seem to have more power....

but, personally, it just kills the quietness of the ride at high speeds....

I think there are much better things to do for a 318i, including exhaust and such

well said dclaw, the 318 is still however a great car in all other forms of modification, but i've heard one with a cai installed on it and its just too ricey.

Maybe that is why the CAI is so diffiult to find. Manufacturers do not want to ruin such a nice vehicle! Any other power add-ons that I could do besides the intake?
