Need some help bad - BMW Forum

I just bought my first BMW a 93 325is. I made it 20mi from the persons house i got it from it it took a dump on me. First thing that was happening was that it was reving up and down when stopped at a light. The second thing is when i moved my seat back the abs light would go on. 3rd thing, the check engine light would come on after 2k rpms. It went off for a little then came back on and started to ding. Then next thing i know my buddy said he saw some smoke coming from my exhaust. Thats when i noticed i had lost all power. I couldn't get the car to the side of the road. it stayed running but it was like it went into limp mode. Once off to the side of the road, thats when we noticed drips of oil on the ground. Not puddles but just like if someone had a small leak. Then the last thing is. the car didnt want to start. it had all the power functions but it was like the clutch pedal wasnt letting it start. Almost like i forgot to push it down. It could be pop started and it stayed running. Can someone please help. I didnt have a very good day yesturday.

Can you track where the oil is leaking from?

Check for intake leaks. Get the engine started and spray carby cleaner (use a nozzel rather than a spray) around the various suspicious areas (intake manifold and ducting upto Air Mass Sensor). If you notice a change in the idle then you've probably found a vacuum leak.

Does the engine run hot?

Check the engine oil for discoloration indicating a coolant contamination.
Check the coolant for discoloration indicating a oil contamination. (Head gasket or cracked head.
