Need New Exhaust

i need a new muffler and exhaust system for my 94 325i.

Any suggestions?

buy a used oem m3 catback or an aftermarket.

UUC, Remus, Supersprint, all good brands.

I'd personally go with a used oem m3 catback, as it is oem, sounds perfect and doesn't degrade value of the car (like all aftermarket mods do)

Heres the deal, im taking my car in on friday because my check engine light has been on plus my car is in need of a tune up anyway.


However, my muffler is shittified right now so i need a new one, problem is im not good at this car stuff and i havent done any mods to my ride. its completely stock. So im looking for something that will upgrade my performance as well as provide good functionality for everyday driving without having a big fartcan on the end of it.

Confused.

i really like the AA GEN III. When dynoed agains other aftermarket exhausts it yielded the most HP. It's pretty light weight too, but i think others are lighter. It all depends on what you want. IF you want a throaty sounded, loud, moderately loud, looks. THose types of things.

the UUC is made for torque, not HP, lots of stuff gives u HP here and there, torque is harder to come by...

I guess i just dont want to sound like a ricer.

I need some suggestions on shit i can get in a relatively short amount of time (1-2 weeks). Otherwise my dad will have them put some dumbshit muffler on it.

Borla is great... not ricey... I have it.. good performance too.... take a look at that.. its rather pricey.. but good good stuff...

i think most people on this board would suggest the UUC system. however like others have said some other good brands are AA, Dinan, Remus, Borla...

Try going to ebay......I replaced mine earlier this year with one that I found on ebay from a guy in Arizona who was upgrading to a Borla. Here is an M3 cat back that is listed right now on ebay, and it will give a slightly rawer sound and increased power to boot

Would that (or one like that) M3 catback fit on my '96 318? I'm also looking for something that gives an increase in performance but I don't want someting very loud, I almost want it quiet... but louder than what I have... don't want to make it sound like a Honda. Any suggestions?
