need help...tranny swap??

hey everyone...i guess im hoping some bmw tech's or knowledgable fellow M lovers are out there. I have a killer chance to get a 97 m3 for a superb price...unfortunately it is automatic...which is ok...but id prefer 5 speed. My brother & I converted his civic from auto to 5 speed.....but im not sure if its possible with the m3?....any chance someone has done this or has the knowledge about it? i have a lil time b4 i need to decide to get the m3 or not...so if you could help out...id really love it...thanks guys..great site

its not as simple as swapping a trans...sometimes you need a driveshaft and all kinds of little parts here and there...and you wont have reverse lights and there may be other little things that wont be right with your car...
