Exclamation Need help please......Question regarding Bilstein strut/shocks

Hi guys I just both a whole set of Bilstein struts/shocks & springs for my E36 94 -318i. I'm just curious if my new struts/shocks are good or bad. When I shake or turn them upside down I can hear the oil inside. It's like hearing oil inside a bottle when you shake it. I'm just wondering if this is normal. I tested all of the shocks/struts and I can hear the oil inside all of them when turn them upside down. Also are you suppose to be able to push the piston rod of the strut/shock inside the tube with bare hand? Please check this link from bilstein:

http://www.bilstein.com/BilsteinAppGuide303.pdf AND CHECK PAGE 29. they mentioned something about "Bubbling noises inside — when shock is inverted, compressed and released. (Oil and gas have mixed.) need replacement" I've consulted the seller and I was told that it should be ok. But I have a bad feeling about this. I'm not familiar with shocks/struts but at least I trust my instinct. Please kindly give your output. Thanks guys.

They've got a lifetime warranty on them, and if you call Bilstein they should tell you exactly what to do with them to check and whether or not that noise is correct or not. I've never tested a shock off of a car before, so I'm afraid I won't be much help.

should be fine, you have to remember the weight of the car is also supported by the spring when it's on the car

Thanks shahab. So yeah, the oil "sound" that I hear when I turn the shocks upside down is normal too right?
