I need some info on what all I need to convert a German spec BMW 318is into American specs. Websites, phone numbers, and how it will cost will be helpful. Just what ever you guys got I will appriciate.
Hey dude I just realized I spelled conversion wrong. Retarded, anyway from what I have heard something about bumpers, windshields, door beams need reinforcing, somthing about the cat, and a ecu change.
I'm in the Army and I'm stationed over n Germany as of now. I bought a German spec BMW and I want to take it back to the states. But before I can do that I got to get it converted over to what ever American spec bimmers consist of.
You probably won't find an American spec bimmer in Germany. You will be better of getting one in the States. Used bimmers are cheaper in the States anyways (go figure)
just use the website and do the EU delivery option since you are already there and just pick your car up in germany. thats if you can afford a new one.. ya it will cost about a ton more but could be really cool. or talk to local dealer about conversion stuff.
I'm stationed at Armstong Barracks. It's a really small post. I guess I could try selling the car but trying to get one over here would be a pain. Plus it probably costs alot. So nobody knows anything about converting her over.
BMWs in Europe are a lot cheaper than in the US because they are made there (obviously). Anyway, shipping from the UK to Missouri costs about 2,300. This includes everything. So, if you find a car that is really rediculously cheaper than you can find here, I think it's worth it. I know the emissions regulations over there are a lot more lenient than in the US. I will ask my brother what other things need to be taken care of.
