Need Battery - What Brand / Part Number do you have?

I have a dead battery in my 94 325is, I called 4 the parts stores (AutoZone, Murray's, Advance Auto Parts, PepBoys) but nobody carries it, they refer me to the dealer. OEM Size 92... it's big.

I have an extra batt from a different car that has the posts in the correct spots, should I try that or could it hurt something?

One guy said to bring it in and he could try to match it up with something "similar" in size, amps, etc. If aftermarket, what brand/size do you have?

Nevermind about OEM, get an Optima Red top or Yellow Top (deep cycle) battery. The red is used if your car is OEM all around and the Yellow Top for electronic changes in your car system, i.e. Stereo, amps, capacitors, blah ,blah, blah. they are expensive ($99-150) but worth it and they have a great warranty to boot.

Do you have an O'reilly's or NAPA auto store in your area? They carry batteries for the 3 series. I paid $80 for mine at O'reilly's.
