Just came accross a 1992 318is ....5 speed for USD 3850 ..

would that be a good deal. there is no visible rust or problems

Take it too a bmw mechanic if possible before you buy, i wish i had done that with mine, early bmws have alot of plastic and rubber parts that wear out after about 8 years, and its good to know how much $$$ u will be putting in on it down the road, also if you have the extra cash i would strongly recomend buying a 325is, There is a big difference in power, a 4 cyl bmw just doesnt cut it for me.

have it checked out by a shop first. the 1.8 is a great alternative if you need lower insurance, but a 2.5 would be more fun. I'm happy with my 1.8 but only due to the 5 speed.
