nasty noise

Hiya,
Only on cold start-ups, when I first start the engine, there is a nasty knocking/clicking noise from the engine, but only last for 1/2 seconds, then goes away. Any ideas??
Ive done a oil change,
But it only happens from a cold start..

i think this is common for our cars, when the temp is cold enough the car sounds really rough on startup.. when was the last tuneup just for my understanding.

i have same problem had oil change and a tune up but still the same only does it when its cold so that's what i put it down too i must admit i sh*t myself when mine 1st did it

mine 1st did on the last oil change i did, and it started right after i did the oil change so t has to do something with lubrication i think.

That's normal but you could try a lighter weight synthetic oil for the winter, like 0W40. This may minimize the knocking.

Yea, this is normal and should only tick for a second or 2.. if the ticking last longer then you aer using to thick an oil grade for the winter. I just did mobil 1 0w-40 switch and the ticking only occurs when it gets below 20 degrees at night..
