I've got a '97 328i and I have no clue what this button does. It's got an aftermarket 'clifford' alarm and remote start but I bought it with the devices already installed and without any of the paperwork... I press it and nothing 'seems' to happen. Anyone know what this mysterious button is?

It looks like the cancel security/alarm with the key ignition switch set to on. If so it's intended for use (combined with the car key obviously) to cancel the alarm/security when the remote is unable to.
