Question MY question about windows

My drivers window will not roll down. Thinking its the motor but my question is this if my window does not go down would that stop my top from going down. My delima is that my top works except for the part that finishes closing the top( It is fully auto so I can close it but it takes ten minute of turning a wrench= not fun). Hoping someone can give me a yes or no so I can continue to trouble shoot.
Thanks alot.

You will have to remove the door card in any case to check it, once removed just unplug motor, ground your 12volt test light & insert the probe into the motor's connector & operate the switch in both directions.......if it lights you have bad motor, also check the regulator & window sliders (plastic) shown in link below:

I think the motor due to I can hear a click when I hit the button no movement, and as for the top the top goes into the compartment fine and the lid closes fine iand comes back out fine the only part that doesn't work is the auto latch. I am hoping that it is the window being up. Is this a possibility or am I wishful thinking?
