So I just picked up this E36 for $1100 at an impound auction. It has a wide body, body kit installed on it, and looks pretty slick! The car has 2 issue's, It needs the exhaust manifold gasket replaced, and the flex plate replaced. The parts are cheap, but what would I be looking at as far as labor cost for each of the repairs?
Nice clean e36, definitley will have to fill the voids in those wheel wells, due to the widebody kit....with some new kicks......maybe some wheel spacers.....
They both are not hard to do.....probabaly 2 to 3 hours each in labor.....but if you multiply that by $80.00 an hour shop rate to $125.00 BMW rate, it could be costly.
Maybe you can do it yourself.....a couple of DIY's:
oh one other issue with the car. When I start the car, the check engine light comes on and stays on for about 15-20 seconds and then shuts off and never comes back on until you restart. Any idea's? Or just a glitch?
