Smile My E36 325is

Thought i should introduce myself i have been snooping around the threads on here for a few days now, but i just got around to making an account,

Well a little about me im Chris im a mechanic and i own a repair shop on Marco island fl and im finally driving a bmw again (feels great!!!)
I just picked up a 1995 325is with 105k on it, it has bilstein coilovers and a aftermarket larger aluminum radiator, 3.15 open diff.
I picked her up for $2800 it drives and feels great! only thing is the clear is pealing from age.
It had spoiler on it when i brought the car but it looked a little cheap, my girlfriend likes it but i kinda like the car sleek without it but i would love your opinions so i can make up my mind, i took pics with and with out. let me know what you think????

After i figure out my spoiler problem im looking at a lsd 3.23 diff on ebay that i plan on swapping it to it, how do you guys like the 3.23? the 3.91 seems way to tall. i put 4.11's in my 67 stang and it was doing 4500rpm at 60mph hahaha i dont want to do that to my bmw!

and my final question does anyone know of any bmw car clubs in swfl?

Thanks Chris

Welcome to Bimmerwerkz Chris,

You seemed to pick up a good example. I personally dont like that spoiler much. It seems like a something that came off a honda. I would recommend an M3 or an LTW spoiler instead.

What is the extra red and yellow wiring in the engine bay for? Aftermarket stereo?

yeah that yellow wire goes from a blue hexagon block that's in the middle of my upper radiator hose.. I haven't removed it yet i couldn't imagine it to be there for any other purpose that for a aftermarket temp gauge. your thoughts? either way the yellow wire goes from the blue block to just laying lose next to my air cleaner. i found a m3 diff about 20 mins away from me for $350
"BMW E36 M3 LSD Differential

from a Manual Trans E36 1998 M3

Good Working Order

3.23 Ratio."

Do you think that's a good price and good fitment for my car?

Thanks for the help on the spoiler

I did the diff swap today it wasn't too difficult.
From 3.15 open to 3.23 lsd its a noticeable increase in acceleration and the car is like night and day with how much more fun it is to drive!!!!
I did find that those annoying torx bolts that you can barley fit a socket and ratchet in to the hole to undo them... well you can use a 3/8th wrench CLOSED END fits nice and snug with out striping.

Good on you for doing the diff swap. Their not terribly hard, but the diff is pretty heavy.

Im not sure why the PO decided to put that blue thing in, but if I were you I would remove it and replace the hose. Thats just two more places for the hose to leak, and it looks like it serves no purpose at this point.
