Hey I went to the track yesterday and had a blast, it was my frist time on the 1/4! Anyways I was a little disappointed with my times and my clutch was slipping pretty bad. I had to launch at much lower RPM than I wanted resulting in............ a slow launch
.389 R/T
2.324 60'
6.454 330
9.785 1/8 @ 73.81 mph
12.667 1000
15.064 1/4 @ 92.63 mph
Should I switch to 4th gear or leave it in 3rd? Any other tips to do?
Mods are: Cold air intake, M50 intake manifold, fan delete
Thanks!

I know guys you are right, it's fun to do it though! My friend with a E36 M3 ran a 13.8 which is pretty good, he only has intake and sux at the twistys lol.

I agree, 3ers aren't drag cars, but the idea is fun nonethelss. I'm curious as to your shift intervals (revs), and what do you drive, or did I miss that somewhere.

Sorry I thought it said next to my name 328is but that's a different forum.
I drive a 1996 BMW 328is 5 speed. I went to 6400 RPM in each gear.

I'll play around with my new christmas toy tomorrow, and see what it says. I'd be curious to see what it says compared to the data above. My accelerometer is terribley accurate, as it's within 1hp of my dyno sheets. I've been needing to make some runs as I'm currently running the stock chip and fuel pressure regulator while Active builds me more chips.
wow, my exhaust sounds a lot different. I need to do some video.

Hi, maybe you didn't read my post or have reading troubles but I clearly stated my clutch was slipping pretty bad. With a new clutch I can launch at the appropraite RPM's and the holeshot would be MUCH faster.
